Kwass Meets the Gov!

as reported by KSN Reporter Ethan Kwassman

Today, I had the honor of meeting the Governor of New York, Eliot Spitzer, alongside the rest of the Edward R. Murrow High School Chess Team, that tied for first in this year's Nationals, while winning both the City and State titles, and somehow coming in third place in the Brooklyn tournament (of all places). Well, we only had half our team (including me) for the Brooklyn one.

Eliot Spitzer is truly a "nice guy," with some humor as well. He was only able to stay 15 minutes with us, but played a game of chess against Murrow's (our) top player Alex Lenderman, who is also the National Scholastic Champion, and Spitzer resigned after 10 minutes, but actually did play fairly well. I'll have some pictures to post on Monday and on Facebook (lol) of the team (with his 8th best player, the Kwass, of course) and the Governor Eliot Spitzer.
