Be sure to tune into Hockey Night on Long Island this Saturday at 3:30 PM EST for what will sadly be the first episode of the Islanders' offseason. Hosts Alex and Steve will also be taking your calls, IMs, and banter via the HNLI chatroom for the ultimate listener interactivity. So, be sure to spend your Saturday afternoon with Alex and Steve on Hockey Night on Long Island. Click here to tune in!

Kwass enters Hibernation soon! But not KSN, there will be shows!

as reported by Ethan Kwassman KSN Radio Host

In 10 days, the Kwass will be going into hibernation. I will be returning to Camp Edward Isaacs, after a summer @ Camp Rising Sun in 2006. This will be my 6th out of 7th summer @ Eddie I. However, just because the Kwass will be hibernation doesn't mean that KSN or KSN Radio will be. Listed below are how KSN Radio will round out during the Summertime. I'll be back on August 18th to return back to work as a KSN Host, Sportswriter, and Tech reporter, lol.

The Sports Docket has already done 10 episodes before the summer has began. We have had guests from YanksBlog, DetroitBadBoys, Anaheim Ducks Fan Blog, HoopVibe, ArmChairGM, Hockey Night on Long Island Show, and MVN (Most Valuable Network), We will have 2 more (maybe a third) before the Kwass enters hibernation. However, Steven Ackerman aka Aceman will be carrying you twice a week during the summer with some high-profile guests and some great NY sports shows through the dog days of summer.

System Showdown plans to have one more show before the Kwass and Jon enter hibernation. Well, Jon has already entered hibernation. Where you at?, Jon! However, We've had four shows thus far and all of them have been pretty heated. Kwass, the PC user has been in four, Jon, the Mac user has been in three, and Zeeshan aka Zixan, the Linux user has akso been in three of them. Download those shows to your iPod: they're more comedy than technology! We also had one big-name guest Arnold Kim, the creator of MacRumors.Com, one of the most popular Apple interactive websites. (That reminds me I need to get around to posting that transcript or interview audio!)

L'Chaim has yet to debut, and we're not sure if we will by the time the Kwass goes into hibernation. However, when it gets going it will be a panel of Jews talking everything from Torah tidbits and nuggets to clean Jewish jokes (of course). Joining the Kwass, will be twins Alan Kruchin and George Kruchin, Eugene, the great Jew and ruler of the website, JewPower!, and Daniel Fleischman. However, when this show get's going, it'll be sick.

Eddie I Beat will probably only interest Camp Edward Isaacs campers, staff, and alumni, but we can take your phone calls on everything from good music to Jew talk. Our first show is today @ 3 p.m. with Kwass , D-Korn, Jewbacca, and Midvidy. AKA Ethan Kwassman, Daniel Kornreich, Aaron Zarabi, and Adam Midvidy. We will previewing the 2007 Edward Isaacs summer and may have some good clips during the program. This may be our only show, with one more with Jon maybe, before the CEI Summer. However, during the summer, we may simulcast with the Camp Edward Isaacs loudspeaker, lol. It might happen!
We also have to greatly thank BlogTalkRadio for putting up with the Kwass, and letting him make 4 accounts and not making a big deal about it. And, of course, for their technology in allowing anyone to have their own LIVE! Radio Show right from their crib. Thank you BTR!, changing lives everyday!, lol.

Isles Banter: Keep Blake or Let Him Walk?

According to TSN, Jason Blake is "all but gone from Long Island". According to the article, negotiations appear to be at a standstill between Blake's agent and the Islanders.

Of course in Jason Blake the Islanders might lose 40 goals, 65 points, a fan favorite, and a real energy player. At the same time, however, Blake isn't worth what he's asking for. At the age of 34, it would be unreasonable for the Islanders to offer Blake the 5 year contract that he is seeking. To one of my favorite Islanders ever I say..."there's the door". If Blakey expects a 5 year contract, he should look for it elsewhere. If he decides that he'll settle for 2 or 3 years, however, I'd love to see Jason in Orange and Blue for a few more years.

Remember that for all of your New York Islanders banter and the only Islanders talk show, check out hockeynightonlongisland.com. Join us this Saturday at 3PM EST when we will be joined by special guest Shawn P. Roarke of NHL.com to discuss the draft, free agency, and a whole lot more.

Hockey Night on Long Island: The Newest KSN Contributor

Hello all. My name is Alex and with my good buddy Steve, I host Hockey Night on Long Island, the only Internet Talk Show dedicated to the New York Islanders. Every week, the two of us bring listeners banter on the latest events in the world of hockey and the Islanders. Since starting our show, we have featured several notable guests including Matt Ebbs of International Scouting Services, Greg Logan of Newsday, and many more!
It is now my pleasure to announce that I will be contributing to the KSN blog on a fairly regular basis. I plan on bringing KSN's readers a little bit of hockey news and opinion that currently seems to be missing here. I'd like to thank Kwass for letting me put my two cents into this great website.
To begin my little "partnership" with KSN, I will be making a guest appearance tomorrow night on KSN's The Sports Docket. I'll be dishing out some information and opinion on the latest in the NHL offseason, including the draft, free agency, and much more. Be sure to listen to The Sports Docket at 6PM EST tomorrow an to give us a call.
Finally, I'd like to invite you all to check out my website and show. The show's new blogger website can be accessed at hockeynightonlongisland.blogspot.com. To check out our host channel directly to listen to the show and check our schedule, check out www.blogtalkradio.com/hockeynightonlongisland.
Be sure to tune in to the next episode of Hockey Night on Long Island this Saturday at 3PM EST. We are thrilled to be joined by Shawn P. Roarke, a Senior Writer for NHL.com. We will talk to Shawn about the recently concluded NHL Season, the offseason, draft, free agency, and a while lot more. Be sure to tune in!
