S-pandemonium in San Antonio! Spurs win NBA Finals in 4!

as reported by Ethan Kwassman KSN Reporter

...And for once, Tim Duncan wasn't the MVP. This time, Tony Parker rose to the challenge of taking on Lebron James, the superstar and his Cleveland Cavaliers. Parker scored 24 pts in the Spurs 83-82 victory in Game 4 last night and averaged 24.5 pts in the Series. The Spurs have now won the NBA Finals for 4 out of the last 9 years, and Tim Duncan has a has already filled almost a full hand with rings. Next on the list for San Antonio to catch up is the Chicago Bulls, who has 6 NBA Final championships. The Celtics have 16, the Lakers of Hollywood have 11.

The off-the bench heroics of Manu Ginobili proved to a major difference for the Spurs in the series. The Cavaliers who could have equally won Games 3 and 4, as they lost them, where taken down by Manu Ginobili and Co. in the fourth quarter. Manu Ginobili led all scorers with 27 pts, but the most important part was the 13 in the fourth quarter.

Lebron James paced a Cavaliers comeback in this game as the Cavs started the fourth quarter with a 11-0, and Cleveland got their first lead in the second half of a game in this series, but Tim Duncan quickly erased any remembrance of that lead driving the ball down the court. The Spurs contained Daniel Gibson very well, and the Cavaliers fouled Duncan like crazy, and he kept making those free throws count.

Congrats to the 2006-07 Spurs on they're 4 championship this decade, and 3rd out of the last 5 years. Tony Parker is living the life now, winning his 2nd NBA Finals, being named MVP for the first time, and of course his marriage to actress Eva Longoria on July 7, 2007. Gregg Poppivich, the Professor as I like to call him is 4-for-4 at the helm of the Spurs, and he can now be put in as one of the greatest coaches of all time, as Parker can soon be compared to the likes of Jason Kidd, and John Stockton.

Oh, and btw... did you guys hear that Lebron James' second son Bryce Maximus James was born early yesterday morning?

Detroit Pistons: Transcript with Matt Watson of DetroitBadBoys.Com

as reported by Ethan Kwassman KSN Radio Host

(left) Daniel Gibson was the hero for the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6

Here's what Matt Watson, of DetroitBadBoys.Com had to say during Aceman and the Kwass's interview with him on our show Friday afternoon:

  • on Lebron James versus the Pistons in Game 5

"It was 1 on 5 [Detroit Pistons], and surprisingly 1 won out"

  • on how he got the name DetroitBadBoys.Com

"The name came about from the Pistons in the 1980s when they were winning championships, in the days of Isiah Thomas"

  • on the Pistons defense versus LeBron James (listen up San Antonio)

"I wish I had the answer. The Pistons played a lot of attention, double-teaming LeBron, forcing him to take the ball out his hand. We were double-teaming him early, and then guys like Drew Gooden beat us. And then we stopped double-teaming, and he beat us singlehandedly"

  • on the play of Tashaun Prince

"His offense has definitely been slowed. Early in the series, he did a great job containing Lebron."

  • Lebron's dunks

"The Pistons were determined to play one-and=one, and relying alot on their help defense. You would think that after he's scoring like 20 in a row, they [Detroit Pistons], would start to foul him."

Bruce Bowen better listen to that^^^

  • on Filip Saunders

"Saunders is allegedly more of an offensive coach. Larry Brown preached "De-fense, De-fense, De-fense"... Saunders has been getting a lot of heat, because the Pistons have not been playing up to his strengths."
